Registration of foreign citizens at their place of residence
Every foreigner that came to Serbia, is obliged to be registered at their place of residence.
Registration can be made in the duty service of the police station or in the regional police Department-in the Department that carries out activities related to the movement and stay of foreigners. The period during which, according to Serbian law, foreigners are required to register is 24 hours.
In case of violation of the terms of registration of residence, there is an administrative liability-a fine of 5000 Serbian dinars.
Foreign citizens can be registered at their place of residence:
-legal entities, entrepreneurs and individuals providing accommodation services or their legal representatives within 24 hours of providing accommodation services to a foreigner
-legal entities, entrepreneurs and individuals to whom the foreigner has arrived as a guest, or their legal representatives or authorized persons, within 24 hours after the arrival of the foreigner as a guest
A person applying for registration at the place of residence of a foreigner fills out the Registration form in two copies, and must submit it to the police officer for verification
-passport or other document with which the foreigner came to Serbia
-other documents, depending on who registers the foreigner
Due to the fact that many foreign citizens rent real estate for living, they can register themselves at their place of residence by providing a lease agreement.
Foreigners must register exclusively at their place of actual residence!
